We've heard of enthusiastic fans, but this is ridiculous: Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace suffered a grisly-sounding injury at a recent gig when members of the crowd rushed the stage, kicking her microphone into her face and shattering her teeth.

Grace dealt with the incident magnanimously via Twitter, telling followers, "For those asking, last night my mic was kicked into my face and it shattered a couple of teeth. It was an accident, but still really hurt...I'm also pretty upset about the idea [of] reconstructive dental surgery."

Others weren't quite as forgiving about the incident. As Punknews reports (via Consequence of Sound), some of the discussion on Against Me!'s Facebook page has been rather heated, with one fan weighing in by saying, "I seriously f---ing apologize on behalf of those d-----bags that stormed the stage and stopped the show tonight. Please don’t think we’re all anything like those few a--holes. Up until that point you guys were beyond sick. Ever since I heard the news in the summer I’d been waiting to see Laura and it was insanely surreal. I hope she’s okay and I hope you guys can still come back in the future."

In related news, Against Me! bassist Andrew Seward recently spoke with MTV about the band's upcoming album, which Rolling Stone reports will be titled 'Transgender Dysphoria Blues.' Saying it "sounds f---ing killer," Seward mused, "I don’t know if ‘brutal’ is the right word, but it just sounds really f---ing tough, and good."
