Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda is going Hollywood. He's signed on to co-write the score for the U.S. release of The Raid, an ultra-violent, Indonesian-made action flick. The movie, which is subtitled in English, premiered last week at the Toronto International Film Festival and is expected to reach American audiences next year.

Mastodon will rumble onto the road this fall in support of their upcoming album, The Hunter. They'll kick things in Austin, Texas on October 25th and wend their way around North America, wrapping up in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on December 1st. The Dillinger Escape Plan and Red Fang will open all shows.
