Anthrax to Play ‘Among the Living’ In Full on 2017 U.K. Tour; Joey Belladonna Sings Bon Jovi Cover
Next year marks the 30th anniversary of Anthrax's signature album Among the Living. To celebrate, the band will be playing the disc in its entirety on next year's UK tour.
The eight-show trek kicks off Feb. 9 in Birmingham. Opening will be The Raven Age, whose lineup includes guitarist George Harris, son of Iron Maiden's Steve Harris. Check out the dates below.
Guitarist Scott Ian says, "Finally! We've been looking forward to headlining in the U.K. for so long!!! We have a killer set planned, new stuff, old faves, deep tracks and Among front to back. You'd better start getting in shape now for the epic wardance! See you soon my friends."
The nine tracks on Among the Living include some of Anthrax's most beloved and well-known songs such as "Caught in a Mosh," "I Am the Law" and "Indians." In addition to playing the album in full, the band will play other material, including songs from their latest album For All Kings, released earlier this year.
One song they won't be playing is Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer." However, frontman Joey Belladonna's classic rock cover band Chief Big Way played that song and others at a gig in Rochester, N.Y. a few months back. Check out their rendition with Belladonna both singing and playing the drums:
