Are Montana Supermarkets Being Taken Over by Robots? Take a Look
It looks like it is about time that we begin forming our resistance forces to protect us from our robot overlords. Somebody call John Connor and let him know that robots have begun taking over our supermarkets here in Montana.
Robots in supermarkets are not rare. In fact, there are lots of supermarket chains that use robots. Just recently, a supermarket chain in Pennsylvania had one of its robots try to escape.
According to the ABC27
Customers at GIANT Food Stores are familiar with “Marty” the robot. The tall robotic assistant has been in stores since 2019 helping identify hazards such as spills and has gone viral for their googly eyes and “facial” expressions. One Pennsylvania grocery shopper in the Lehigh Valley area posted a video showing Marty on the loose in a store parking lot before employees wrangled him back inside.
I recently had a sighting of a robot in a local grocery store in the Bitterroot Valley. While strolling through the bakery section of Super One in Stevensville, MT, I noticed a giant machine taking up a bunch of room. Upon further inspection, I discovered it was a BREADBOT! That's right! A robot that makes fresh bread.
The machine allows you to choose from 3 different styles of bread (Homestyle, Nine Grain, or Honey Oat). After choosing your bread, you can pick from a loaf that has recently been made. Featuring a timer telling you how fresh the loaf is. Or you can order a hot loaf and wait as the machine compiles all the ingredients and makes the dough in front of your eyes.
Clearly, I couldn't help myself and ordered a hot and fresh loaf to take home. Best sandwich I have had in a long time! Maybe this robot takeover won't be so bad after all.
