Avenged Sevenfold Read Mean Tweets From Social Media
Are you a fan of Avenged Sevenfold? Are you not a fan of Avenged Sevenfold? Either way, you're about to get a little satisfaction, as the band has posted their own version of mean tweets. The concept, made popular on Jimmy Kimmel Live, finds people reacting to some of the harsher comments online made about themselves, so let's see how Avenged take it.
"Dear wedding reception outside my hotel. Listen to Avenged Sevenfold somewhere else, like in hell where that shit belongs," the guys read in one tweet. "I think you should walk up to one in four people in your community and slap them in the face if you feel that way," offers Synyster Gates in response.
When another offers, "Avenged Sevenfold make me want to rip off my ears. Put them in a blender and force the remains down a baby's throat. Horrible music," Johnny Christ ponders, "How is the music as horrible as forcing something down a baby's throat? It can't be that fucking bad?!"
The clip includes a shot at Gates, that cracks up Christ while Brooks Wackerman offers some dry reactions to some of the posts. By the end of the session, Wackerman seems bemused by the exercise, adding, "What's amazing about these words is A) I want to know what these people do and B) what they've accomplished in life. Whether or not you like us, that's your opinion, but yeah, they can suck it."
