Battle For The Title Of Most Iconic Guitar
With the Wayne Static show coming up tonight, I'm wondering what kind of guitars he plays live. I have seen many rock and metal guitarists over the years and many use a great variety of set ups on stage. Out of the different guitars I have seen, the favorite of many musicians are the Flying V body style and the Les Paul body style. Which of these two styles is more iconic?
Keep in mind that the Flying V variations include similar guitars from Jackson and Dean played by stars such as Kerry King, Zakk Wylde, the late Randy Rhoads and the guys from Trivium. Meanwhile the Les Paul body style includes ESP's version. Zakk Wylde also uses many Les Pauls as well as Slash, Ace Frehley and Les Paul himself.
Both body styles are classic and have been instrumental in the growth of modern metal and rock. So which is more iconic?
