Beer, Food, Live Music. Popular Germanfest Returns To Missoula
Germanfest is set to return to Caras park with a day filled with food, beer, live music, and more.
Did you know that Missoula has a sister city in Germany? It's true. Back in 1993 a "pledge of friendship" was signed between the mayors of our fair city and Neckargemünd, Germany. Now every year our community comes together to celebrate the German culture with a super fun event.
This all-ages event will take place at Caras Park on September 4th from 2-6 pm. Some of the really awesome things you can look forward to including:
Beer
It wouldn't be a traditional Gemranfest without beer. That's why our friends at Bayern Brewery and Summit beverage will be on hand to serve up your favorite local brews.
Food
Alpensteuble Guten Eaten has got you covered. This year you can look forward to Geman sausages and schnitzel, leberkäse (I have no idea what that is, but you can bet I'm trying it) potato salad, and pretzels.
Live Music
Gary Gillette’s OcTUBAfest is set to take the stage and lead you in dancing, laughing, and some sing-along.
Kid's Activities
This is a family-friendly/all-ages event, so bring the kids. This year they are setting up a super fun "children's corner" which includes coloring, a photo booth, costumes, games, and more.
There will also be various vendors on hand so you can shop for some authentic German goods.
Special thanks to Arts Missoula Global and the University of Montana German Department for putting on this special event for our amazing community. Mark your calendars!
