British Rock Icon Billy Idol Coming to Montana This Summer 2023
The first 2 hours of the original MTV broadcast were recently released on YouTube. Yup, everything aired precisely as it did on August 1st, 1981. Everyone knows the first video they played was "Video Killed the Radio Star" by The Buggles. And it was followed by Pat Benatar's "You Better Run", and "She Won't Dance with Me" by Rod Stewart.
You'll also see all the original VJs introduce themselves . . . plus the very first ad that ever aired, for a three-ring binder called The Bulk. It was followed by a commercial for "Superman 2".
If you grew up in the MTV era, you can almost close your eyes and see a Billy Idol video in your mind. For me, it was the video for "Cradle of Love." You know, the video where the nerdy/anal-retentive guy tries to save his apartment from complete destruction while an attractive woman goes on a full-contact stripper show/home makeover?
From his iconic hair to his ripping rock performances and even his acting career, Billy Idol continues to impress. Montana will soon be welcoming this rock icon to the Treasure State for a LIVE performance this Summer.
According to Logjam Presents
Iconic rocker Billy Idol will perform live in concert along the banks of the Blackfoot at KettleHouse Amphitheater on August 31, 2023. Idol will be joined by his longtime band including his collaborator and lead guitarist of over forty years, Steve Stevens.
