For years now, we have made an annual gathering in Butte, MT to celebrate to celebrate a legend. Evel Knievel Days has been a highlight of summer, and unfortunately the summer of 2018 will have to go without. Evel Knievel Days promoters have announced the event will NOT take place this year, due to lack of funding. Coming up nearly $200,000 short.

According to NBC Montana

Organizers announced Monday they were only able to receive commitments for a “fraction of the amount.”

"It is unfortunate that the first festival that gave Butte its name, 'The Festival City,' will not take place this year,” organizers said. “Asking local businesses to shoulder multiple events within a few weeks of each other is unfair and unsustainable. Evel Knievel Days is the latest victim of this unfortunate reality."
