Exciting News for Fans of Missoula’s Mustard Seed Restaurant

Mustard Seed is my jam! I'm just as excited as you are to learn that our fave Asian fusion restaurant is now open in its new location. Check out the post below for a peek at the inside!

You were likely following the changes happening at the Southgate Mall, with Scheels moving in and a lot of construction going on. Even the Mustard Seed fans' primary backup spot, Noodle Express, ended up moving to a new location inside the Mall. Part of all of that action was the Mustard Seed's move to the other side of the AMC Theater, technically not inside the Mall itself.

Back in July of 2021, I was telling you that I had heard rumors that the new place would have rooftop dining, and it will! The first thing I noticed about the new building is the separate entrance for Take-Out, which should be a nice solution to keeping the waiting area from getting crowded with delivery pick-up folks and those who are just looking to run in and out. The waiting area itself is quite spacious with more seating than the former location. And the parking directly across from the front door is the area intended for diners, so don't feel like you're taking theater parking.

Current hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week, congrats to the owners and staff on their beautiful new space! And as thrilled as I am for them, I'm also excited for us, the fans of the Mustard Seed, I've been a fan since they were on Front Street. When I was a little kid, my Mom would take me there and I remember ordering "The Snack," which was an eggroll and a glass of pineapple-orange juice. Yum- I'd order that now as an adult. Anyway, see you at the new Mustard Seed!
