Famed NFL Quarterback to Host Special Dinner in Downtown Missoula
What do you think of when you picture a football player endorsement? Is it a running back wearing a fresh new pair of Nikes? Or maybe a jacked-up linebacker endorsing nutritional supplements and energy drinks? How about a former Super Bowl quarterback endorsing his own line of vintage wine?
Former Patriots Quarterback, Drew Bledsoe, will be making a stop in Missoula for a special dinner at Pangea Bar and Restaurant.
If the name doesn't sound familiar, it should. Drew made a big name for himself during his career in the NFL.
According to Wikipedia
Drew Bledsoe is an American former football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons, primarily with the New England Patriots. He played college football at Washington State University, where he won Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year as a junior, and was selected by the Patriots first overall in the 1993 NFL Draft. Considered the face of the Patriots franchise during his nine seasons with the team, Bledsoe helped improve New England's fortunes from 1993 to 2001.
Drew and his wife made their way back to Washington after retiring from the NFL. They bought a place near Walla Walla and started their own vineyard. Now they are dishing out some award-winning wine.
According to Pangea Bar's event page
Drew and his Wife, Maura, purchased a piece of property on the southern edge of the Walla Walla Valley AVA and subsequently launched Doubleback as an estate focused winery with the goal of crafting America's best Cabernet Sauvignon in an elegant, true to varietal way. Drew had long been planning for this moment during his years playing football and success came immediately as the very first vintage earned a spot in Wine Spectator's Top 100 List.
Drew Bledsoe is packing up some of his wine and heading to Missoula to host a special dinner on Friday, August 25th for anyone who wants to join.
