The annual look at the operation of the Western Ag Research Center north of Corvallis is Thursday, July 27.

The center, on Quast Lane, will have its 2017 Field Day, inviting the public to come out to the center. Talks by the faculty will start things off at 4 p.m., followed by a free barbeque at 5 p.m.

There will be tours of the field and hoop house, along with wine and cider tasting until 9 p.m.

The center operates as part of the Montana Agricultural Experiment Station system, under the College of Agriculture at Montana State University in Bozeman.

The center is about 2 and half miles northeast of Corvallis. Drive north on the East Side Highway, until you get to the Teller Wildlife Refuge. Instead of turning left, turn right onto Quast Lane, drive past the railroad track, up the hill and look for the sign.
