Frenchtown Youth Launch Sticker Shock Campaign
As we all know, it is illegal to sell to or purchase alcohol for minors. Yet, some people don't seem to take into account how much damage they are doing to our area youth by breaking this law.
The Frenchtown Community Coalition, a federally funded organization that operates with the Missoula County Health Department to reduce youth substance misuse in the Frenchtown School District, through their Youth Action Committee will be conducting a sticker shock campaign on May 3rd throughout the Frenchtown valley. Youth Action Committee students along with adult volunteers will be visiting all of the local bars and alcohol retailers to give them a sign (pictured below) to serve as a reminder to our community that it is illegal to purchase alcohol for minors. The same group will also stop at Broncs grocery and Frenchies C store where they will apply 100s of bright orange stickers (pictured below) to alcohol retail packaging with a similar reminder to customers that it is illegal to purchase alcohol for minors.
