I have recently taken up fly tying since I have not been having much luck winter fly fishing so maybe tying some flies would be good! Well lets just say you are going to want to have a bit of patience to start but I hear once you get it down it becomes a lot more relaxing and fun.

I was having the most trouble with the whip finish to be honest and my thread kept coming off of the chenille and it became a tangled knotty mess.

The key is practice but I may need to be in a class with others that are just learning too.

I am going to continue to do San Juan Worms which is an easy fly pattern and very effective. I did some before with a friend but mainly there help was the reason they came out decent.
