Your plans for the coming weekend might be a bit different than you originally pictured them. Not too long ago we had September 5th circled on the calendar for the opening game of the Griz season. We all know the rest of the story so we'll just skip past all that and get to a bit of happier news when it comes to Griz football.

Football will be back at the University of Montana this month.......sort of. Washington-Grizzly Stadium will host an awesome event full of football and fun with the ’95 Championship Night on Saturday, September 19. You can celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 1995 National Championship as you watch the Griz defeat Marshall on the big screen inside the stadium.

But it'll be so much more than just watching the game!

The '95 Championship Night will also include live pregame and halftime entertainment with surprise visits from current Grizzlies and Montana legends. Food, beverages, and the latest in Grizzly merchandise will also be available for purchase.

Gates open at 5:30 PM, kickoff is set for 6:30 PM, and a post-game fireworks show will end the night.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday (9/8.)On-field tickets are $19.95 each and will be sold in groups of 4 or 8. Limited seating is available in the stands and limited VIP packages are available. Get tickets at griztix.com, 888-MONTANA, or by visiting the Adams Center Ticket Office.

For more ticket information, call 406-243-6472.

Only a limited number of tickets will be sold!

We may not have actual games - but this looks like it should be a great night and allow Griz fans the opportunity to show their support despite the canceled season.
