On Monday, July 16th, 12-year-old Aiyana was using a crosswalk on North Reserve when she was struck by a car and left with multiple injuries, including a severed neck artery.

Aiyana's injuries also include a broken pelvis and she has since been life flighted from a Missoula hospital to Spokane’s Sacred Hearts Children’s Hospital. Like many of us, her parents struggle to live paycheck to paycheck and they don't have insurance right now.

Aiyana's aunt has reached out to the community, saying "Please consider giving anything your heart guides you to.  No amount is too large or too small." Fundraiser proceeds will help Aiyana's parents to be with her in Spokane and stay until the young girl is able to return to Missoula.

This young lady was following the rules, using the crosswalk and now she's got a long road to recovery ahead of her. Let's do what we can to help out this local family.
