Furloughed Federal Employees Hold Yard Sale to Survive Shutdown
At some point in our lives, we have all been a little "strapped" for cash and living paycheck to paycheck. But, when your living "paycheck to paycheck" and that check doesn't arrive, it's time to go into survival mode. Time to clean out the shed and the garage and host a yard sale...IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINTER!
According to Lauren Heiser with KPAX News
Dozens of furloughed federal employees gathered together for a garage sale on Sunday in an effort to make some extra money.

“I think the main objective is just to bring awareness. That it’s not just a problem that’s far off it’s a problem that’s you know impacting local communities small towns,” said Shaw Faiella who works for the US Forest Service.
