Let's face it. Our fond memories of being mall rats and hanging out in the food court, are a thing of the past. Online shopping and big business have made most malls in America "slowly go the way of the buffalo." Meaning that malls are dwindling at a rapid pace. Helena's Capital Hill Mall is officially a pile of rubble.

According to the Helena Independent Record

The once-thriving mall was finished in 1965 and remodeled several times over the years. Dillard's closed in 2010, followed by J.C. Penney in 2017. The last holdout, Lucky Lil's Casino, closed in January.
