How To Make The ‘Moist Maker’ Thanksgiving Sandwich
Thanksgiving is almost here. That means dinner tables all over the country are going to be flooded with gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, pumpkin pie and a heaping amount of green bean casserole. And, obviously, a pile of carved turkey. But, only so much of that food can fit on your plate.
One of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving is the leftovers. I have always been quick to snag any leftovers that mom has after dinner, and then taking them home and creating different culinary delights. One of my annual favorites is leftover turkey enchiladas. Or, making some leftover turkey jalapeno poppers. And, the old standby of simple turkey sandwiches. But, today we are going to take a fictional sandwich and make it a reality.
You may remember the popular 90’s sit-com “Friends.” You know? One of the most successful sitcoms in television history? Jennifer Anniston? Matthew Perry? Courtney Cox? David Schwimmer as Ross? Well, in one particular episode, Ross was bummed that someone ate his leftover turkey sandwich. A sandwich that he had been dreaming about since before Thanksgiving even arrived. He describes the sandwich as “as amazing turkey sandwich, with an extra slice of bread, soaked in gravy.” Ross calls it the “Moist Maker.”
Youtuber, Andrew Rea on Binging with Babish, shows us step by step how to make the “Moist Maker.”
