Famous Journalist Cusses After a Recent Visit to Montana
Famous people love Montana. Some come here to ski, or fly fish, or live out their "I'm a rancher" fantasy. Most locals aren't thrilled by the rich and famous's infatuation with our state, but they've been coming for decades, and it's not likely to stop anytime soon.
We grumble about them, but it's tough to be upset about Katie Couric's recent trip to the Treasure State. In a clip she shared on her social media accounts today (with 948K Facebook followers and 2M followers on Instagram), Couric explained why she was in our great state.

Everyone was nice to Couric in Montana.
Katie joked in her post that Montana must have a "no a@&@+%les policy because everyone was wonderful!" She added that she should have used the Wide Open Spaces song for the music background in her clip.
Katie was in Montana with the Harbor Fund. According to its website, here's what the non-profit organization does:
We connect high-quality film and television projects with catalytic capital—using philanthropic investment to bring stories that serve the public good to life.
Couric is apparently helping pitch a documentary film project that focuses on the disparities in women’s medical research.
It looks like she got to see some of our most beautiful places during her visit.
In the 60-second clip, we can see the Bridger Mountain range, the Yellowstone River somewhere in Paradise Valley, one of our famous ghost towns (it doesn't look like Virginia City to me, perhaps it was Bannack?), and a trip to the exclusive Crazy Mountain Ranch near Livingston.

Thanks for visiting, Katie! We're glad you enjoyed your stay. Maybe we'll bump into you next time you land at the Bozeman airport.
