What a weekend it was in Missoula. There was so much hype for the 122nd Brawl of the Wild. It was the first time Montana State and Montana met as nationally ranked top-5 opponents. It was for all the marbles - a national 2 seed in the FCS Playoffs and for the Big Sky Conference Championship.

And it was... ALL. MONTANA.

Montana decimated Montana State 37-7 Saturday afternoon to secure its first Big Sky Championship since 2009, the last year of Head Coach Bobby Hauck's first stint in Missoula. I'm not going to lie, it was incredible to be on the field. From the word "go" the party was on and vibes were high.

What happened over the next 60 minutes of gameplay will excite any Griz fan. Montana dominated and the celebration was on. Washington-Grizzly set a new stadium attendance record (for the second time this year) and the student section was a huge reason why.

BURN! The University of Montana has now won 74 of the 122 all-time meetings and leads in the "Great Divide Trophy" era 11-10.

It was riotous being on the field for the game and the celebration. 27 thousand Griz fans made themselves heard and after it was all said and done I got an up-close look at the massive Great Divide Trophy.

What a day and it was only beginning. Griz fans marched downtown to fill Stock's, Red's, the Mo Club and probably every other establishment within a 5-mile radius.

Even national college football followers partook in the fun with a certain head coach.

I don't know where Clifton McDowell went after the game, but I know he reveled in the win.
