
Montana Star Michelle Williams Continues Award Streak With SAG Win
One of Montana’s most successful actresses has just picked up another award. Not only has she been nominated for five Oscars, but she’s also being recognized for her television work.

Michelle Williams, who was born in Kalispell, just took home her latest award at the SAG Actors’ Awards (formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards) over the weekend. She won for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series, for her role as Molly in the show Dying for Sex, on FX.
Award-Winning Role in ‘Dying for Sex’
This is the second award she has won for this role; she also won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television, back in January.

Williams' Oscar nominations came from her roles in Brokeback Mountain, Manchester by the Sea, Blue Valentine, My Week with Marilyn, and The Fabelmans. She has also won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her role in Fosse/Verdon. She has also been nominated for a Tony for Best Actress in a Play for her performance in Blackbird in 2016.

Williams has not yet appeared in a film shot in Montana, but she did star with fellow Montana actor Scott Michael Campbell in Brokeback Mountain in 2005.
