Take Me Home Tuesday: Butters Spreads Joy and Needs a Home

Maybe some kittens just have disc jockey in their veins.

It was a challenge to keep Butters off the console, as he was eager to get his paws on those nobs, sliders and switches, ready to take the airways with his meowing and purring banter. He definitely had the broadcaster's gift for gab.

It was Another Take Me Home Tuesday at the radio stations with the Humane Society of Western Montana, sponsored by our animal-loving friends at Paul's Pancake Parlor. As we approach the height of kitten season at the shelter, Janet wanted us to meet Butters, an affectionate, playful kitty, easy to please judging by his unprompted purring.

BUTTERS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Butters does have a medical condition that makes him prone to bladder stones, so prior to adoption, he is having surgery to remove them, and it is likely he will need to be on a special diet the rest of his life, so the stones hopefully do not come back.

He will also be neutered prior to being made available, so Janet estimated he will be good to go in about three weeks.

HUMANE SOCIETY VET TEAM

Janet tells us that a lot of people don't realize that the Humane Society of Western Montana does have a veterinarian medical team to assist with various treatments and spaying and neutering prior to pets being made available for adoption. This is all part of their "Sheltered Medicine" vision of getting animals as much in-house treatment as they need, with all expenses covered in advance of adoption.

FREE TO LOW COST VACCINATION CLINIC SCHEDULED

The Humane Society of Western Montana consistently offers free to low-cost vaccination clinics for your pets, based on your ability to pay.
