Here’s Some Good Montana Housing News for a Change
It will take some time to move in, but if you're struggling to find housing in Missoula, Hamilton, or other Montana cities, there are some positive new developments to report this week.
The projects sometimes involve entirely new units, housing facilities to help the homeless, or rehabilitating and renovating existing properties.
And most importantly, the developments involve funding to make the changes.

More in Missoula
Homeward will be celebrating the completion and opening of the Trinity Apartments off Mullan Road, one of the state's largest affordable housing developments next week. Trinity has a total of 202 units, with 172 apartments and row homes at Maple Street Flats, and Westside Place, with 30 permanent supportive homes at Blue Heron Place.
“It’s exciting for us to officially celebrate this accomplishment with our residents, funders, partners, and other supporters in our community,” said Homeword Executive Director Karissa Trujillo. “Trinity Apartments has always been about partnership. From the beginning stages of this development, collaboration, and partnership were key to addressing the critical need for affordable housing in Missoula.”
“Trinity Apartments happened during a critical time for the Missoula community,” said MHA Executive Director Sam Oliver. “On the heels of a global pandemic, the organic partnerships that made Trinity possible provided sorely needed housing for our community’s families, workforce, and underserved neighbors living houseless. We are thrilled to celebrate the success of the entire project with the community it was built to serve.”
Homeword and the Missoula Housing Authority will celebrate the project with a public open house Tuesday, August 13th from 10 to 11:30 at 2200 Mullan Road.
