John Hiatt and Lyle Lovett To Rock Missoula Together Live On Stage
Two of music's greatest storytellers, Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt, will hit the stage together at the Wilma Theatre in Missoula on Wednesday, October 26th. Details here.
Ok, first off I'm going to gush here for a second before I get to the important details. Yes, Lyle Lovett is a cool cat. No disrespect, but John Hiatt is one of the greatest lyricists and storytellers of a generation. This guy is better than Bruce Springsteen by leaps and bounds and he isn't selling tickets to his show for $4000
I first heard John Hiatt many years ago when my father introduced me to his "Perfectly Good Guitar" record (Thanks, pop). I can remember hearing the title track as a kid and literally getting goosebumps. It was so rock and roll. Something every aspiring kid rockstar has always thought. Basically about all these rich entitled rockers destroying their perfectly good guitars on stage. Like, why? When you're a kid all you want is a guitar. I know I did. I can't tell you how many lawns I had to mow to get my first beat-up Fender, and here is Kurt Cobain just trashing his on stage. It really was the perfect song, and trust me, he's got so many more.
You've probably heard John Hiatt and not even realized it. Check out this list of incredible artists that John has either written or co-written tracks for.
Ok, Ok. Enough being a fan girl. Here are the details for the show.
