Missoula Bare Knuckle Fighter Returning to the Ring in BKFC 44
Missoula's own, Sawyer Depee, is healed up and ready for his return to the ring to fight in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship circuit. Depee landed a spot on a high-profile fight card in Knuckle Mania II last year. He was going toe to toe with the #3 world-ranked Ulysses Diaz.
Ulysses Diaz is a 40-year-old fighter from Miami, Florida. Diaz was born in Cuba and has spent most of his fighting career boxing. He currently has a boxing record of 12 wins and 1 loss. Only recently has Diaz taken off the gloves and begun fighting in bare-knuckle fights.
The fight was a great one to watch. Especially while rooting for a hometown fighter. But, Depee came up short. Shortly after the fight, Depee had an injury that resulted in him not being able to make a fist. Kind of hard to fight bare-knuckle boxing if you can't make a fist. It would take Depee over a year to recover.
Now he is BACK! And he is hungry for a fight. I have seen Sawyer Depee fight. HE IS A BEAST! He is calm and calculated in the ring. From his years of training with Missoula's Dog Pound Fight Team, plus his time spent in the MMA ring, Depee is a force to be reckoned with.
Two weeks I’ll be making that walk again. It’s been too damn long! Coming back at cruiser where the guys hit like Mack trucks and faces break. With the hammers being thrown in this one someone will be hitting the deck.
Depee is scheduled to fight Gabriel Mota on June 9th in Great Falls, Montana
