I got my semicolon tattoo nearly a decade ago, shortly after the passing of our friend Joey Connell. After Joey died of suicide, a nonprofit in his name emerged here in Missoula.

The Missoula Life Maintenance Center (or Joey's Place) is a free community-based life maintenance center (drop-ins are welcome) guided towards helping people with behavioral health issues.

Altered Skin Tattoo and Body Piercing are gearing up to show their support for Project Semicolon and suicide prevention.

On April 7th, 2024, you can walk into Altered Skin and get your very own semicolon tattoo for only $50. All proceeds from the day will go directly to Joey's Place.
