You wanna talk about a tough year for coming up with ways to bring fun to your family, especially on special occasions, 2020 is it. With everything being canceled or socially distanced, fun times outside the home are few and far between. That's why I was so thrilled when a friend told me about the 9 Mile Schoolhouse. I was born here and have lived in Missoula my entire life and have never heard of it!

The 9 Mile Schoolhouse is holding an Enchanted Christmas Village from December 12th to December 19th, it's out in Huson, about a 30 minute drive from Missoula. Apparently, a visit to the schoolhouse has been a tradition for many Montana families for a number of years, so I'm excited to be learning about this event! Organizers are inviting families to step back in time for a magical tour of the historic grounds in a small group-outdoor experience, compliant with social distancing guidelines. Kids can bring a letter with their Christmas wishes to deliver to Santa in person! Plus, you can enjoy a mini polar express, fresh handmade wreaths and fresh cut trees, hot soup and hot chocolate, photos with "the jolly old man in the bright red suit and a beautiful buggy." You can also get in on some fun raffle prizes in time for gift giving while helping to raise money for a great cause.

The village will also include vendor shopping, caroling, samples of home brew, and arts & crafts activities for the kids! This holiday experience promises to be fun for all ages, so grab tickets here and have a Christmas to remember! Tickets are $10 and include a professional photo with Santa.

Tickets must be purchased in advance to monitor maintain population limitation. For your health and safety we will be at a limited capacity and will require masks on everyone over 5 years old.
