It wasn't the end result they wanted to share, but the announcement has been made that the Missoula Lip Sync Battle will not hold the annual event this year.

The original date was set for April 7th. But, that was moved to May 17th as the coronavirus pandemic started to affect gatherings and events. With Friday being the first of May, and the show fast approaching, the call was made to postpone the event until February of next year.

It's a bummer for the organizers, participants, and attendees of the Lip Sync Battle since the proceeds benefit Camp Mak-A-Dream. The good news is teams that were set to perform in the contest have still raised over $10,000.

Lip Sync Battle organizer Courtney Imhoff said "right now we're just super thankful for the people that will continue to support camp in any way that they can, whether that's through a donation online or participating in some of the things that we have coming up outside of the lip sync, or just keeping their tickets to next year's show."

Here's to hoping next year's edition will be the biggest yet and set a new record for money raised.
