Well this is exciting! Especially after we got the news this week that our beloved local ball team "aren't expecting to play this year." No baseball 'til 2021, that's rough. But, here's some spectacular news that we're stoked to take part in this summer.

The Missoula PaddleHeads are teaming up with The Roxy Theater to host a weekly movie series at Ogren Park Allegiance Field, every Thursday, starting next week on June 11th! As if that wasn't awesome enough, the first movie they are showing is one of the all time best - 1984's 'Purple Rain.' The Wilma showed the movie when Prince passed away in 2016, Missoulians showed up in purple and danced and sang, we highly encourage this type of behavior for this showing as well. The PaddleHeads will also be hosting Prince sing-a-longs and karaoke during the event, as well.

You can get tickets starting Monday, June 8th on the PaddleHeads website. Maybe bookmark that page because that's also where they will be posting the schedule for future movies at the ballpark. The ticket options are $20 for an on-field 10’x10’ social distanced square for up to four people, $40 for an on-field 20’x10’ social distanced square for up to eight people, and $5 individual tickets for the seating bowl for adults, $2 for children 12 and under. Stadium gates will open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. showing.

The ballpark's COVID-19 Readiness Plan includes social distancing and crowd control measures, cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing practices, staff training, PPE guidelines, a full food and beverage plan, and wellness and symptom checks for all staff. Patrons will be strongly advised to wear face coverings, diligently practice social distancing at all times, and asked to stay home if experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19.
