If you love to fish Montana and you care about current and proposed rules and regulations, you should put this one in your calendar.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is hosting open houses across the state this month to gather input on proposed fishing regulations. Missoula's open house is scheduled Thursday, August 29, starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Double Tree Hotel.

Montana's fishing regulations undergo a thorough review every four years. This spring, FWP conducted online surveys that contained ideas and proposals for for regulation changes. FWP staff also met with a number of Montana fishing and recreation groups to help craft the tentative regulations that are out for review and comment.

Some of it might frustrate you. Some of it you might applaud. Either way, you are invited to learn more at the open house August 29.
