Montana had the Coldest Temperature in the U.S. on Wednesday
It's been an extra chilly winter in Montana, and if it felt even colder on Wednesday, January 11th, that's because it was.
Temperatures were below zero all over Montana on Wednesday, the Great Falls International Airport recorded a low of -21 degrees around 9 a.m. The only area that was colder was Loma, which is north of Fort Benton, where the temperature on Wednesday was recorded as -34 degrees, the coldest in the entire country. It's good that they have less than 100 residents there who had to try and stay warm.
The low on Wednesday in Missoula was 9. The forecast says we'll get back down to zero tonight, but the weekend is looking alright, with a high of 22 on Saturday and 24 on Sunday.
