Montana Man Arrested After Asking For Friends Help to Move
We have all heard the call before, but only true friends will answer it. It is the call to help someone move. It usually kills part of your weekend, but in the end "that is what friends are for." But, in Great Falls, MT you might think twice before offering to help. A 36-year-old guy named Patrick Adams Jr. asked a couple of friends to help him move this past summer. The friends were somewhat close, but not so much so that they can say they have ever been to Patrick's house before. One of the friends who stepped up to help even went as far as to rent a U-Haul for the occasion. The team packed up the home and made 2 FULL U-Haul trips to the new location.
The only problem?
It wasn't Patrick's home they moved. Patrick had lied to his friends and actually made them accomplices in burglary. The police had been investigating the crime for weeks now, but finally arrested Patrick this past Thursday. He is facing up to 30 years in prison and $100,000 fine.
Thankfully the friends, who were nice enough to help Patrick "move," were NOT charged.
