As of Friday morning, Montana has confirmed 108 positive COVID-19 cases. Montana's COVID-19 case tracking map shows several new confirmed cases. In addition, Montana now has seven confirmed hospitalizations.

The county with the highest number of COVID-19 cases continues to be Gallatin with 39 cases. Missoula County currently has eight confirmed cases.

As of Thursday afternoon, the DPHHS public health lab in Helena has completed 2,680 tests for COVID-19.

  • Hill: 1
  • Roosevelt: 1
  • Lincoln: 1

On Thursday, Governor Bullock issued a stay at home order for all Montanans. The directive will take effect at 12:01 a.m. on March 28.

The Montana Department of Health and Human Services has reported the first death due to COVID 19 in the state.

Governor Steve Bullock wrote:

 “I’m heartbroken to learn of Montana’s first death due to COVID-19. Especially during these times, Montana truly is one big small town – this news hits us hard, but we’re in this together. My family and I send our love and support to the family, friends, and community of our fellow Montanan.”

Local county public health officials are still in the process of contacting family members. No additional information will be provided at this time.
