Montana Ranks as One of the Nerdiest States in America

Do you dress up in medieval clothing to watch "Game of Thrones?" Do you make a weekend out of watching Stars Wars in chronological order? Do you know the Vulcan death grip? Then chances are you are from Montana. The folks at Estately sorted through the data and have comprised a list of the "Nerdiest states in America."

Estately is known for using some very scientific methods for ranking each state. In this case, they used the following geeky stereotypes, and analyzed Facebook data, to rank each state:

1. Star Trek:  The Next Generation
2. Cosplay
3. Harry Potter
4. Star Wars
5. Anime Movies
6. Dungeons & Dragons
7. LARPing (Live Action Role-Playing)
8. Doctor Who
9. Fantasy Lit
10. Lord of the Rings
11. Magic:  The Gathering
12. Comic Books

The results put Montana in the top half of nerd loving states. With an exceptionally high ranking of Lord of the Rings fans. Ranking Montana as the 24th nerdiest state in America. Not too shabby. We are right in the middle of the pack. Not too nerdy as not to get a date. But, also just nerdy enough to know how to write code and make some REAL money.

The top 5 nerdiest states include: Utah, Alaska, Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado. With much of the northwest being considered NERD HEAVEN. The southern US is the opposite and considered to be literal HELL for nerds.
