Perhaps Memorial Day falling the latest the calendar will allow is a blessing in terms of the weather outlook.

With their weekend forecast calling for partly to mostly sunny skies, very little moisture and highs in the 70s Saturday, Sunday and Monday, it looks like things will be just about right after all the cool, wet weather we've been dealing with in western Montana. And that's your cue to visit Montana's largest flea market.

One of the many pandemic-plagued lowlights of Memorial Day weekend, 2020, was the cancellation of the annual three-day St. Regis Flea Market. Well, organizers will tell you that they've been given the green light. And barring any crazy rise in positive cases, they are ready to see you again this weekend.

If you're looking for some good food, a bargain and the unique or the odd delivered with real hometown hospitality, St. Regis puts on a lively flea market with good people and affordable local amenities. And it won't consume your entire weekend. I recommend it, as it's one of those shopping experiences that make you realize you didn't even know you needed it or wanted it until you saw it!

Now, it's pretty hard to get lost in St. Regis, but the community still does a great job with signs showing which roads to take, turns, parking areas, shuttle buses, etc. Lots of good food, too, so come hungry. All in a real nice family park atmosphere.

There is no admission charge, and organizers say they are expecting around 200 vendors this year. The event runs from dawn till dusk this Saturday, Sunday and Memorial Day.

Enjoy, bargain hunters! If you're looking for more info, check the St. Regis Flea Market website.
