As a kid I used to look forward to this day every year, on Thursday, April 26th it's National Take Our Son and Daughter to Work Day. The date itself switches each year but the annual date always falls on the fourth Thursday in April. The day is exactly what it says, it's encouraging employers to invite employees to bring their kids to work.

National Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day was founded by Gloria Steinem and the MS Foundation for Women in 1993. National Take Our Daughter and Sons to Work Day is an unofficial national holiday.

When I was growing up I was able to join my Grandfather when he was an engineer at Boeing in Seattle. He has since passed away, but those are memories that I will have for the rest of my life. My mother and father both had jobs that were more difficult for them to bring kids, but I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to explore planes at the Boeing facility with my grandpa.
