Native American Hikers Rescue Injured Bald Eagle
Everybody knows the bald eagle is a symbol of America, but for Native Americans they are a symbol of a higher being. For tribes like the Blackfoot here in Montana, eagle feathers are used for religious ceremonies and blessings. In fact, whenever a blad eagle is found dead, Montana Fish Wildlife in Parks will hand over the carcass to the tribes.
Trending video has recently surfaced online, of 2 hikers rescuing an injured bald eagle. While out looking for feathers, they discovered the injured bird and gently walked it to safety. They say the eagle is now being treated and cared for is a wildlife preserve.
