This is a day that I had no idea even existed, but I am very glad it does. November 1 is National Men Make Dinner Day. I personally think that there should be more than one of these days a year, but I’m not going to be picky. I’ll take one if that’s all I can get. To help the men out there a little bit, I’m giving you a couple ways to cheat.

Order something to go - Beat your wife home from work and plate the food before she gets there. Be sure to put a bunch of pots and pans in the sink so it looks like you got off work early and rushed home to make her something special. It goes without saying that you should dispose of the evidence in the neighbor’s garbage can.

Go premade – There are a number of things that you can buy premade and simply pop in the oven for awhile. Lasagna is a pretty easy food to find premade. Pop a lasagna in the oven, toast a little French bread, and toss some premade salad, and you have a meal that looks and smells like it took a lot more work than it actually did.

Have your mom do it - If you have a really nice mother who also happens to be a great cook, I’m sure you could probably convince her to cook dinner for the both of you. If she really loves you, she will even let you take credit for it.

Of course, if you really love your significant other, you would slave over a hot stove for hours making your one true love the best dinner they’ve ever had - a meal that truly expresses the love that you feel for them.
