Pearl Jam Donating Missoula Show Proceeds to Four MT Non-Profits
Jeff Ament and crew don't need to add any incentive for their fans to buy tickets to their upcoming Missoula show, as it has been sold out since the hour they went on sale. But that isn't stopping the politically active band from making generous moves with the proceeds.
Pearl Jam are calling their Missoula stop "Rock2Vote," which is their way of specifically helping Montanans. A portion of the ticket proceeds for the show at Washington Grizzly Stadium will benefit four Montana non-profits; Forward Montana, Montana Native Vote, Montana Conservation Voters and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Montana. The band released the following statement:
Rock2Vote is about standing with Montanans who believe we are at our best when every voice is heard. We are supporting those fighting for Montana values across all Montana communities. From Big Sandy to Browning and Butte to Baker, we believe that every voice counts and every vote matters.
Montana is home to bassist Jeff Ament who grew up in Big Sandy, went to the University of Montana, and still lives part-time time in Missoula. We are excited to be back in Jeff’s home state.
