Reality Star and Model Ditches Fame for Quiet Life in Montana
Ever seen someone at the grocery store and thought, “Dang, she looks familiar”? There’s a strong likelihood you casually walked by one of reality TV’s original stars and had no idea.
If you were shopping near Whitefish, there’s a good chance you have encountered Adrianne Curry. You know? Winner of the first season of America’s Next Top Model and VH1’s My Fair Brady? Well, now she’s a full-blown Montanan.
Years of living in the Hollywood spotlight led Curry to give it all up and move to Whitefish. Not for some influencer rebrand, but for peace, privacy, and a life where the only thing trending is the snowpack. She married the voice actor Matthew Rhode in Glacier National Park and has been quietly building a life out here.

Curry has made no secret of the fact that she does not miss fame. She’s talked about being burned by the modeling industry. From broken promises on Top Model to being pressured into questionable photo shoots. By the time she was in her early 30s, she’d had her fill. She said bye-bye to Hollywood and began posting her life in the mountains instead. That is everything from raising chickens, gardening, snowshoeing, and going fully solar, to lobbing some occasional jabs at Californians. That’s how you know she’s one of us now.
@adriannecurryrhode The famous Montana "Californian Eviction Notice!". Every spring, you see people who moved here put their homes up for sale after braving a few winters. they spent one summer here and thought it was their dream You better love ice and snow! #montana #rockies ##rockymountains #antm #americasnexttopmodel #adriannecurry #snow #snowstorm ♬ original sound - Adrianne Curry
She’s also not afraid to call out what’s fake online. No filters, no brand deals, no grind for followers. A Montana life, lived on her terms. Weekends spent canning vegetables, building fires, and watching sunsets.
So yes, if you’re in Whitefish and swear the woman in line ahead of you at the grocery store looks like she used to be on TV, she probably was.
