Restricted Zones: Where Taking Photos Is Illegal in Montana

With the invention of the smartphone and the increased quality of phone cameras, people are snapping photos more than ever before. Whether it be a picture of what they had for lunch, or a selfie in front of a statue.

Montana is full of opportunities to take a quality selfie. I always say that we "live in a postcard." With such beautiful scenery everywhere you turn, you can easily snap hundreds of photos without even thinking about it.

Not everywhere in Montana is safe to take a picture. There are some places where it is illegal to snap a photo.

1. You cannot photograph someone if you are on private property.
2. You cannot take pictures inside a public restroom
3. You cannot take pictures of accidents involving emergency crews

Regarding private property, one piece of property in Montana will easily land you a ticket if you are caught snapping selfies.
