The annual Sasquatch! Music Festival Launch Party was held last night in Seattle and they announced the hundreds of bands that will be playing not one, but TWO separate festivals this year at The Gorge in George, Washington.

Last year's festival sold out in 90 minutes, keep in mind we're talking about 20,000 tickets here, that's pretty amazeballs. But that's just how insanely fun the entire Sasquatch! experience is, once you go, you have to go every year. And that's why, for the first time in 14 years, the festival will be held for two weekends, Memorial Day Weekend as always and Fourth of July Weekend.

I'm not gonna' lie, tickets are crazy expensive but I'm telling you, if you're a fan of music, partying, camping, strange people doing strange things, seeing s**t you've never seen before, concert road tripping, group showers and gorgeous mind blowing scenery, it's totally worth it.

I was hoping for four specific bands this year, Foo Fighters (always, but they just played the festival in 2011 so I wasn't holding my breath), Green Day, Queens of the Stone Age and Silversun Pickups. So I'm pretty freaking stoked that QOTSA were announced as the headliners for Memorial Day Weekend. And BAM, Soundgarden for Fourth of July, I didn't see that one coming.

There are loads of my other favs too like Foster the People, The National, Haim, Cage The Elephant, Portugal. The Man, Band of Skulls and the legendary Bob Mould. Plus comedians that you know and love, like Nick Swardson and Demetri Martin. But still, my favorite part is the camping itself. Party people in costumes, everybody's in a great mood, nobody is driving anywhere because everything you need is on site and tweakers galore, like the chick last year who blew bubbles on me during my walk to the port-a-potty then fed me carrots saying it was a good idea to eat while partying.

There's also a ton of rave DJs and artists. After the main stage is done, this massive rave, the biggest I've ever seen EVER breaks out under this gigantic tent. I'm not into raves and I don't think I've ever been to one but if you're into it, this is definitely the festival for you.

There was a ticket pre sale in October, which is pretty awesome considering nobody even knew the line up yet, but knew they needed tickets. Another pre sale begins this Thursday, February 6th with options to buy for one of the two weekends or a two weekend pass. Passes are wrist bands that get you a camping spot an access to any of the shows and events for the entire weekend.

AND for the first time, it's sponsored by my beverage of choice, Bud Light. I'm counting down the days for sure.
