Southern Rockers Coming to the KettleHouse this Summer
Here's something fun and different for the KettleHouse, Logjam announced that The Marshall Tucker Band will be here this summer. Now that is one band I've never seen, but I'd be willing to bet they've played here before, like in the Abor Day Kegger days, or at the "Harry Adams Fieldhouse" in the 1970s and 80s.
The guys will play at the KettleHouse Amphitheater on Sunday, July 18th and tickets are a fairly affordable $30 for general admission lawn. If you need a seat, those will run ya $45, and pit is $40. This is an all ages show with full bar and concessions open on site. The presale is Wednesday, May 26th, sign up here. General on sale is Thursday, May 27th at 10 a.m. online and by calling (800) 514-3849.
The Marshall Tucker Band has been around since 1972 and gets boots stomping and hands clapping with their mix of blues, country, and jazz. Lead vocalist Doug Gray remains the sole original member of the band, but the group has continued to record music and tour with various line ups over the past, nearly, 50 years. Classic songs you are most likely to recognize are 'Can't You See,' 'Fire On The Mountain,' and 'Heard It In A Love Song.' I feel like anyone who casually went to this show just to get out to a live concert would definitely be able to sing along to a few songs!
