One thing about the new Missoula Public Library. It's got a ton of room for every cute little ghost and goblin in the Garden City.

And we'll see them again this weekend.

Families First Learning Lab is sponsoring the 17th Annual Halloween Bash in the "World's Best" library this coming Sunday afternoon in Missoula.

With plenty of space for spooks, the 4th floor of the Library will be "Halloween Central" for the afternoon, from 12 until 4 pm. There will be more than 25 interactive exhibits and play stations for the kiddos, all put together by the organizations and programs that make Missoula so much fun for families.

Event is all about family fun and education

The list of exhibits includes art, theater, a school bus, a grocery store, NASA, a rainbow forest, a taco truck, a dentist's office, fishing, camping, and "all around the world." Plus, the library's "Halloween All Under One Roof" approach will include a Halloween storytime, face-painting, the Haunted House Studio at MCAT on the 1st floor, and Spooky Science at UM SpectrUM's location where kids can also make bat ornaments.

Organizers say the idea with the Halloween Bash is to have a place where families can trick-or-treat in a "safe and educational environment". The Families First Lab, which moved into the new library last year, aims to strengthen Missoula families through "education, connection, play, and partnership." In addition to sponsoring regular events like the Halloween Bash, the program is also becoming more of a resource for parents looking to improve their skills and deal with the challenges of parenting.

And costumes are encouraged.
