We always love catching up with the demigods of Steel Panther. This time around, we caught up with drummer Stix Zadinia and bassist Lexxi Foxx to chat about the upcoming Mayweather/McGregor fight, how Gene Simmons is actually one of the nicest guys in rock and more!

With a slew of acclaimed albums, Steel Panther invaded 2017 with a new full-length, Lower the Bar. Stix spoke with us about the track “Poontang Boomerang” and how the larger “boomerangs” which Stix is accustomed to would be deadly for most dudes… but not him.

Stix also had some fighting words for Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor in the lead-up to their historic boxing match. “I have a problem with where it’s devolved to,” Stix says. “It’s f—king circus clown s—t. It’s not even a fight anymore, dude. It’s f—king… a two-ring, stupid circus. They’re making a mockery of the fight game. All of them… it’s a g-ddamn Barnum & Bailey bulls—t festival. You guys are getting called out right now by dudes in spandex — man the f—k up!”

As for Gene Simmons, Zadinia had nothing but nice things to say about KISS’ demon. “There was a time in my life where I worked for Gene,” Stix reveals. “Gene Simmons is one of the sweetest guys I’ve ever met. He can be abrasive and say some things, but I’m here to tell you Gene Simmons would give you the shirt off his back if you’re his friend. [He’s] one of the nicest dudes in rock.”

Lexxi Foxx also said some stuff.
