Imagination will rule at the annual Stevensville Scarecrow Festival again this year. The entry forms are now available at the Stevensville Main Street Association office at 102B Main, next to the driver's exam office on Stevensville's Main Street. Or look for the scarecrow online. The entries have expanded over the years. Besides the row of scarecrows along the cut-off road between US 93 and Stevensville's Main Street, the downtown businesses have been invaded by displays (see photos below). The contest will start on First Friday, October 4, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The general public will cast votes for their favorites during the first days of the display. Scarecrows created by non-profits, individuals and families will be on the cut-off road. business displays will be on Main Street and scarecrows created by kids 8th grade and under will be at the Stevensville Hotel lawn, a block off Main on 3rd Street. You can also enter the "living statue" category.

Also, a Saturday Scarecrow Brewfest will happen October 5th from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the parking lot behind Rocky Mountain Bank. Over 20 craft beers, along with ciders and wines, an Octoberfest band and a live show from Mudslide Charlie will be featured. Major sponsors this year are the Stevensville Main Street Association, Burnt Fork Market, First Security Bank and Western Building Center.
