Three Montana Grizzly Softball Summer Camps Scheduled

Those softball-loving kids of yours entering Grades 2-12 have the opportunity to participate in one of three Montana Grizzly softball camps.

The Elite, Youth and Cub Camps are spread out in mid July and early August. Here is what we know about what is involved in each camp.

SUMMER DAY CAMP ELITE, JULY 13-15

This camp is for girls entering Grades 9-12.

JULY 13: 12:00PM-6:00PM

JULY 14TH: 9:00AM-4:00PM

JULY 15TH:  8:00AM-1:00PM

This three-day camp will focus primarily on improving each participant’s individual skills in individual and team situations. A portion of the camp will also feature live games where the camper will have an opportunity to showcase and hone their skills with Head Softball Coach Melanie Meuchel, the University of Montana softball coaching staff and members of the 2021 team. Campers will receive a Griz softball camp tee shirt. Camp is limited to the first 96 campers with paid enrollment.  $275 fee includes instruction, camp tee shirt, and lunch on July 14h.

GENERAL YOUTH CAMP, AUGUST 3-5

ALL 3 DAYS 8:00AM-12:00PM

This camp is for girls entering Grades 5-8. This three-day camp offers young players the opportunity to learn, practice and improve overall softball skills. Various competitions and games will be held during the camp. Each camper will receive one-on-one time with Montana Head Softball Coach Melanie Meuchel as well as the Montana softball staff, plus current and former Griz softball players. Campers will receive a Griz softball camp tee shirt. Camp is limited to the first 72 campers with paid enrollment.  $160 fee includes instruction and camp tee shirt.

GENERAL CUBS CAMP, AUGUST 3-5

ALL 3 DAYS 2:00-5:00PM

This camp is for girls entering Grades 2-4. It offers young players the opportunity to learn, practice and improve overall softball skills. Various competitions and games will be held during the camp. Each camper will receive one-on-one time with Montana Head Softball Coach Melanie Meuchel as well as the Montana softball staff, plus current and former Griz softball players. Campers will receive a Griz softball camp tee shirt. Camp is limited to the first 72 campers with paid enrollment. $120 fees includes instruction and camp tee shirt.

All three camps take place at the Griz Softball Field, corner of South Avenue and Higgins Avenue, behind Dornblaser and the Montana Soccer Field. Registration forms and more contact info are available here. We hope some of your softball all-stars can get out and learn from the Griz!
