In a day and age when information is spread so quickly, it is no surprise that conspiracy theories are allowed to run rampant on the internet. Take the QAnon conspiracy for example. These cryptic internet messages have got people all over the country strapping on their tinfoil hats and convinced that a high-ranking person in the government is leaking top secret information via the web.

Not long ago a satirical conspiracy website posed the question "Does Missoula really exist?" They were convinced that the small mountain town we call home is just a figment of our imagination.

The film "A Place (Sort of): The Ultimate Missoula Movie" was written and directed by Andy Smetanka

According to Logjam Presents

Andy Smetanka has been making movies with Super 8 cameras for almost 25 years. His body of work includes two feature length documentaries, animated videos for Pearl Jam and the Decemberists (as well as local heroes Volumen) and collaborations with Isabella Rossellini and Winnipeg cine-eccentric Guy Maddin. Smetanka is currently at work on a new animated feature based on Edgar Lee Masters’s Spoon River Anthology, a feature-length sequel to A Place (Sort Of), and a time-lapse documentary of Helsinki, Finland.

Andy will be showing his Ultimate Missoula movie TONIGHT at the Wilma.
