Watch as Grizzly Bear Takes Down a Moose During Couple’s Wedding
There are many wedding traditions that say some things are considered bad luck for a couple getting married, leading to what may already be a doomed marriage. We have all heard them before.
Traditional things that are bad luck on your wedding day are:
- Carrying the Bride Over the Threshold
- A Spider On Your Wedding Dress
- Using Your Married Name Before the Wedding
- Crossing a Nun or Monk’s Path
- And the always popular... Rain on Your Wedding Day
It makes you wonder how the couple in the following video are doing since they joined in Holy Matrimony.
This past August, a couple was taking their vows in one of the most scenic and gorgeous places in the world. They were surrounded by friends and family as they said "I do" on the banks of Two Medicine Lake in Glacier National Park, only to be interrupted by the complete brutality of nature.
The couple's wedding photographer, Stanton Giles, was able to capture the moment that an adult grizzly bear took down a moose on the opposing shore from where the wedding was taking place. The growls and sounds of struggle were loud enough to hear from across the lake. So much so, that the sound of the bear killing the moose completely interrupted the whole ceremony.
According to Stanton Giles video on YouTube
August 18, 2022 - a wedding ceremony was taking place on the shore of Two Medicine Lake in Glacier National Park, when most of the way through the groom's vows, a grizzly charged out of the brush onto the north shore and attacked a moose calf as the mother looked on. We had spotted the moose and calf 10 minutes before moving briskly through the forest further up the mountain - the bear must have been chasing them for at least a little bit.
So what do you think? Do you think this is a sign of a doomed marriage? Or maybe it is a sign of prosperity for the couple? The bear probably feasted on that giant moose for the remainder of the summer.
